Never have any regrets about visiting the same city more than onceā€¦. Each visit will always be a different experience. Maybe you go with different people, or visit different areas and monuments.

Take Rome for instance, I have visited this city twice for multiple days each time and would definitely do it again. My first experience visiting the magnificent city was by myself. Although I did get the chance to meet up with some family for a wedding at the Basilica of Santa Maria Del Popolo in Piazza Del Popolo, I spent a majority of the time alone. This allowed me to do and see everything that I wanted to, from visiting the Vatican to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum; along with a bit of Italian romance. Comparing it to my second visit though, Rome seemed like an entirely different city. This time I had went with a friend that had never been and we had met up with another friend that new the city very well. It was an amazing experience because I got to show my version of the city to fresh new eyes; revisiting the Vatican, the Colosseum, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and of course the shopping on Via Condotti and Via Del Corso. At the same time, I was also shown a new version of Rome that I had never seen. Walking through the Trastevere district and eating at amazing restaurants like Osteria Da Fortunata among others, and bouncing from one outdoor bar to another, from going to different clubs through the city; (Shari Vari being one I would definitely recommend to anyone in the city) and actually visiting a beach near by Rome called Santa Marinella; these are some of the many things that I missed my first trip. My second trip definitely gave me a more rounded experience of Rome. Which is why I am so excited to be revisiting Prague and Vienna this summer with a friend for a whole new experience.

So keep in mind when revisiting a city, even if you do visit all the same areas and do all the same things, keep your eyes open… there might be something you missed the first time.
