The Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica in Runaway Bay is breathtaking.
It the perfect place for a trip with family and friends.
Jamaica has more than its resorts and beaches. There are activities and excursions that you can do outside your resort. One activity is Dunn’s River Falls; you get to climb up the cascading waterfalls and through the Fern Gully tropical rain-forest.
Another excursion is Mystic Mountain in Ocho Rios.
As you make your way up the mountain in the Sky Explorer Chairlift, you will get a beautiful view of the coast of Ocho Rios.
My experience on Mystic Mountain was a special one as I got the chance to meet Usain Bolt, a two time gold medal Olympian.
At the top of Mystic Mountain, they have many activities like Bobsledding (Jamaica’s National Sport), Canopy Zip-lining, infinity pool, and many gardens to walk through and enjoy.
The part of Jamaica that I am from has a very different view then that of Ocho Rios, Negril, Montego Bay, etc. It is a little town called Point Hill, in the St. Catherine Parish about an hour outside of Kingston.
In our little town there is not much to do, nor is their much technology and high end equipment to play with, so every Christmas the community comes together to build and rebuild this handmade, wooden Mary-Go-Round.
Sometimes people tend to forget that Jamaica is more than just a resort Island. It has just as much history and culture has any other country and here are 20 interesting facts that you may like to know.
